Day trip on your horse!

So....You are thinking of relocating to beautiful Western Montana?  You are going to want to find a place to ride!  Then, you are looking at the very best riding country anywhere!

The numerous horse trails in our area offer a variety of landscapes from open vistas to heavily treed.  From steep to fairly level trails!

For the most part, the trails on the west side of the Bitterroot Valley are quite rocky so if you have unshod horses, you may want to start on a trail on the east side of the valley.  Incidentally, you may want to stop at a USFS office and pick up a map.   But don't expect the forest service folks to know the current conditions of the trails as they - the trails are constantly feeling the effects of the wind, rain and snow. 

Also, be prepared - for emergencies for yourself, your horse, and others you may encounter!
